Hi Scott & Trudy,

I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a great time we had at Big Creek last week. John and MaryAnne (sp?) are very good hosts and MaryAnne is a terrific cook. She made a couple of dinners that were both a feast to the eye and the palette. The family style way of serving meals is particularly fun, and we lingered at the table well after dinner both nights. We had dinner with Chris and Lois on Wednesday night and got an ear full of Idaho backcountry history and a lot of useful information about the area for our future visits.

Have a wonderful summer and maybe we'll see you up there in the not too distant future.

Hello Scott:

We just wanted to let you know what a great time we had staying with you on September 6.  We only regret the we didn't have more than one night we could stay.  Shortly after we arrived, you made us feel like family.  You can bet that we'll be back again next year, and hopefully bring some other folks with us.  Have a good winter, and we'll see you next year.

Scott:

The new web site looks (and sounds) great!  Our dogs jump up and look outside every time they hear the Elk bugle.  Also, we're happy to write a testimonial for you. Here goes.

"Flying in for an early breakfast, coffee on the porch watching the sunrise.

Fishing in Big Creek or hiking up to Lick Lake.  Listening to the bugle of a bull elk.

A hearty dinner, family style, good conversation with your fellow guests.  Friendly hosts , comfortable accommodations in the middle of the Idaho wilderness.

It just doesn't get any better than this.

Dear Scott and Trudy,

On behalf of the Eastern Area Fire Use Management Team, I am writing to thank you for providing meals and showers to our fire crews working on the Missouri Ridge fire. The crews have been very complimentary of the food provided by your managers, John and Mary Ann. The availability of a hot shower is always good for the morale of crews on a fire. We know it is a tremendous amount of work to provide meals to a large group over a long period of time and appreciate the efforts of yourselves and your staff.

Again, thank you,

Sincerely,

Barbara Bonefeld
Incident Commander
