Situated on a remote
back country airstrip at the trail head to the fabled Frank Church
"River of No Return" wilderness in central Idaho. The historic Big
Creek Lodge features rustic but comfortable accommodation, family
style cooking and a fine line of professional outfitting services in
the spirit of the old west.
The Lodge, located
within the Payette National Forest and is currently operated under a
twenty year USFS special use permit. We also have meat
packing, hunting and fishing rights which cover a large area.
Once the hub of many
mining ventures visitors now wonder about the tenacity of these
early pioneers that opened up this country. There
are no telephones or televisions, and electricity is provided by a
hydro plant located on site. The closest town 25 miles over Profile
Pass is Yellowpine, population 50.
